The mission of the Clinical Immunology Society is to facilitate education, translational research and novel approaches to therapy in clinical immunology to promote excellence in the care of patients with immunologic/inflammatory disorders.
CIS is an international professional organization which includes more than 750 clinicians, investigators and trainees. The CIS is governed by a Council consisting of an elected Executive Committee and appointed Councilors.

2007 CIS Strategic Planning Retreat
Council members of CIS participated in a strategic planning session in mid-December, 2007. The purpose of this session was to define the goals of CIS and to design initiatives to achieve the goals and to serve our membership. I will summarize the findings of the strategic planning meeting and I will end by inviting you to participate in the new initiatives.
