The 2015 CIS Annual Meeting was held from April 9-12 at the Hilton Americas in Houston, TX. Just prior to the Annual Meeting one additional course was offered this year. CIS held the Update in Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases. This was also the first year of the newly branded Annual Meeting focused on bringing adding content from other disciplines tied to the field of clinical immunology.
This year’s exhibit hall accommodated 16 exhibiting companies or organizations. Exhibitors included: Axelacare, Baxter, Baxter Healthcare-Medical Affairs, Bio Products Laboratory, Biofusion, BioRx, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, GeneDx, Grifols, Healix, Horizon Pharma, Immune Deficiency Foundation, KRONUS, Medical College of Wisconsin, National Jewish Health, and Springer.
The 2015 Annual Meeting included 45 invited speakers, 7 accepted oral abstracts, 19 accepted Guided Posters, and 125 accepted poster presentations. Invited speakers and oral abstract presenters were provided with travel grants to assist with travel and meeting related expenses.
