Communications Committee
Purpose: To develop and oversee improved communications vehicles for the CIS membership. This includes the CIS website and newsletter.

Finance Committee
Purpose: To oversee CIS financial status and investments. Always includes secretary-treasurer as the chair of the committee. The other members of the committee must be on the CIS Council.

Membership Committee
Purpose: To review membership applications for appropriate qualifications and to present, subject to Council approval, a list of proposed members to the membership at the Annual Business Meeting.

Nominating Committee
Purpose: To select a slate of candidates for the elected positions in the Council and to present this slate to the Secretary. This Committee shall consist of three or more members appointed by the President. Each member shall serve three years, one being appointed each year. The Past President shall serve as the Chair. Committee Members may not be from the same institution. The Nominating Committee, having ascertained that each nominee is willing to serve, if elected, shall transmit a list of two nominees for each position available to the Secretary at least 60 days before the election. The Secretary shall send to each voting member of the Society, at least 45-90 days before the election, a ballot containing the list of all such nominees.

Publications Committee
Purpose: The Publications Committee will oversee and coordinate all current and future journals, newsletters, directories, books and other publications of, by and for the Society. The committee will be responsible for nominating the editor and approving the editorial board of the society's journal, Clinical Immunology. The committee will review editorial policy and represent the society in contracts with publishers of the society's journals.
