Primary Immune Deficiency Disorders Summer School
November 2-6, 2006
Miami, Florida, USA

The Clinical Immunology Society (CIS) hosted its fifth Summer School in Primary Immune Deficiency on November 2-6, 2006, in Miami, Florida. The School was a tremendous success. CIS accepted 32 fellows-in-training to attend along with 9 outstanding faculty members.

The Summer School began with a reception on Thursday evening for all participants to meet and socialize. Presentations by the fellows and faculty followed for the next four days. A career mentoring session was held Saturday afternoon in which the fellows were able to discuss their career options with the faculty and receive valuable feedback. A dinner cruise was held on Saturday evening where the chair of the Summer School, Dr. Cunningham-Rundles, was presented with a CD of her favorite music for the fifth anniversary of the PID School. A few fellows were even brave enough to demonstrate their hidden talents!

Overall, everyone enjoyed the Summer School and wonderful opportunities for networking. Please be sure to view the presentations and photos from the Summer School.
