CIS School in Systemic Autoimmune Diseases

The 5th CIS School in Systemic Autoimmune Disease was held April 2-6, 2008, at the Omni Parker House Hotel in Boston.
Thirteen faculty members were selected to act as mentors to the attendees, to attend the school, and give didactic presentations during the program. A couple of the invited faculty members were past school attendees invited back to serve as a faculty members.
Twenty-one participants were selected to attend this year's School. Ten of these individuals were from the US and eleven were international participants. Countries represented included: Bulgaria, Italy, Japan, Finland, Brazil, Switzerland, Venezuela, France, Canada, and the United States.
Participants presented their case or abstract during a twenty minute presentation. Ten minutes was allocated after each presentation for discussion. The faculty presentations consisted of thirty minute didactic presentations with fifteen minutes for discussion. Faculty and fellows took turns chairing each session.
