Continuing Medical Education Program Information

Purpose

The purpose of the CME program is to link new information from the basic science laboratory and clinical research with clinical applications in the patient care setting, in order to improve patient care.

Content Area

The content areas of the CME program deals with advances in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in the immune system.

Target Audience

The target audience for this meeting is physicians and researchers working in the primary immunodeficiency disease field but is open to infectious disease, hematology, oncology, allergy, transplant experts and anyone with an interest in immunodeficiency.

Expected Results

The expected results are to enhance the competence of health care providers who use immunodiagnostics, treat patients with immunologic disorders and prescribe immunotherapy. We will encourage the dissemination and investigation of scientific and clinical information relevant to the field; promote the interchange of opinions regarding the application of clinical immunology to patient care and management; and, provide a forum for workers in the field to meet, and to develop excellence in research and immune related clinical applications.
