CIS School on Systemic Autoimmune Diseases

The Clinical Immunology Society (CIS) hosted its third School on Systemic Autoimmune Diseases March 15-19, 2006 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Schools success can be attributed to all the time and effort the faculty and attendees put into it.

Feedback from the School was overwhelmingly positive! Every attendee agreed attending was more than worth the time and effort they had invested. Networking with other attendees and faculty also proved to be a wonderful experience. Attendees also commented how informative the presentations were and almost everyone said they would use the information in their research or practice.

Diversity was a key factor in the informational material presented. This year's school attracted attendees from around the world including: United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Colombia, Germany, Japan, Italy, Netherlands, Mexico, Israel and Bulgaria.

A career planning session was held and the vast majority of the attendees said they received great advice from the faculty regarding their future career choices.

CIS would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ralph Williams who attended this school as an Honorary Faculty member. His contribution to the field of Immunology is well known to many and it was an honor to have him participate in the discussions.

Other comments on the school from the attendees were:
