A post-doctoral position is available in the Dept. of Medicine, Penn State University College of Medicine to work at a newly established malaria molecular biology laboratory to study mechanisms of parasite red cell invasion. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D., be highly motivated, and have a strong background in molecular biology techniques to include PCR, RT-PCR, cloning, northern and southern blot hybridization procedures, and experience with cell culture work.
